Commodores Head to Florida Having Won Five of Last Seven Games

With two weeks remaining in the regular season, Vanderbilt travels to Florida Wednesday having won five of its last seven games. The contest in Gainesville starts at 7 p.m. CT and will be televised by Jefferson Pilot Sports.

The Commodores (16-10, 6-6 Southeastern Conference) are coming off a 79-65 home victory over Arkansas on Saturday. Shan Foster scored a career-high 25 points, hitting 10-of-17 field goal attempts, including five 3-pointers. Mario Moore registered his first career double-double with 20 points and a career-high 13 assists. He also went 10-of-10 from the foul line. In all, Moore either scored or assisted on 17 of Vanderbilt’s 26 field goals in the game.

The Gators (16-7, 8-4 SEC) are coming off a 77-73 loss at LSU on Saturday. David Lee posted a team-high 21 points, hitting 9-of-14 from the floor. Anthony Roberson and Matt Walsh added 17 points each.

Florida has won 11 of the last 16 in the series, including an 82-65 decision in Nashville on Jan. 15. Vanderbilt owns a 59-49 advantage in the series overall.
