Commodores Bound for the Cornhusker State

No. 2 Vanderbilt bowling to face a stacked field at the Big Red Invitational

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The No. 2 Vanderbilt bowling team will face seven of the nation’s top 10-ranked teams in Lincoln, Nebraska, as the Commodores compete at the Big Red Invitational for their final road event of the regular season.

The last time out
After notching their second consecutive runner-up finish at the Storm Flyer Classic two weeks ago, the Commodores will look to take the title this weekend at Hollywood Bowl. The Dores battled through Day-1 adversity to eventually earn the No. 3 seed for bracket play. Despite having a strong start to the day with wins over No. 10 Sacred Heart and No. 14 Sam Houston State, Vandy came up just short of the championship, falling in the championship match to top-ranked Jacksonville State.

The last time out, freshman Avery Domaguin tied for the top spot on the individual leaderboard, being named Co-MVP and earning a spot on the all-tournament first team. Sophomore Saphyre Nofuente earned back-to-back all-tournament team honors after placing fifth at the Storm Flyer Classic.
