CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Zig-zagging their way through a maze of interviews and photo shoots, head coach Melanie Balcomb and Commodore stars Rebekah Dahlman and Marqu’es Webb represented Vanderbilt at Thursday’s SEC Media Days in Charlotte, N.C.
The Vanderbilt trio did a little bit of everything during the busy day, ranging from an on-court demonstration to visiting the SEC Network’s main studio.

Here’s a brief rundown of how the day unfolded:
9 a.m. — Dahlman, Webb and Balcomb arrive at the airport to catch a charter flight to Charlotte, N.C.
9:30 a.m. — Flight departs. The plane ride takes only about 50 minutes, but one hour is “lost” in the air as the Commodores cross into the Eastern Time zone.
11:30 a.m. — The Vanderbilt group arrives in Charlotte and walks the red carpet to get the day started.
Noon — Balcomb poses for a group shot with the other SEC coaches, followed by the VU players gathering for a photo with the players from the other schools.
12:45 p.m. — Dahlman and Webb are shuttled from the ESPN building to the nearby Brixham building.
1 p.m. — Balcomb participates in a coaches’ roundtable, while the VU players tape an SEC video shoot.
1:30 – 2:30 p.m. — Balcomb and the players engage in a series of sit-down interviews and photo shoots at the two different sites.
2:45 p.m. — Players conduct an on-court demonstration with Carolyn Peck and Nell Fortner.
3 p.m. — Balcomb returns to ESPN building to complete her interviews.
3:30 p.m. — Webb and Dahlman get a quick tour of the SEC Network’s main studio.
3:45 p.m. — Webb and Dahlman do their final interviews of the day.
3:50 p.m. — Balcomb breaks down a play on the whiteboard as part of the “Coaches Clicker” segment with Debbie Antonelli.
4:15 p.m. — The Vanderbilt trio leaves for the airport. Moments later, the group boards the plane and heads back to Nashville.
