Commodore Men’s Basketball Television Schedule Includes 16 Appearances The Vanderbilt men’s basketball team will appear on television 16 times during the 2004-05 regular season International Sports Properties (ISP) announced Friday. Game times for a pair of Commodore home games have changed due to television. The Vanderbilt-TCU game on Dec. 18 starts at 8 p.m. CT and will air on WUXP (UPN) while the Commodores’ meeting with Louisiana-Lafayette will begin at 4 p.m. CT on Comcast Sports Southeast (CSS). The Commodores, coming off last season’s run to the NCAA Tournament’s Sweet 16, will be televised by Fox Sports Net/Sunshine Network (FSN/SUN) a leading six times; Jefferson Pilot Sports (JP) on five occasions; CSS twice, WUXP (UPN) twice and CBS once. Seven of Vanderbilt’s non-conference contests will be televised, including road games against Oregon in Portland and at Cincinnati. Five consecutive non-conference home games will be televised from Dec. 18 through Jan. 2, including contests against TCU, Central Michigan, Appalachian State, Dayton and Louisiana Lafayette. Nine Vanderbilt games against Southeastern Conference foes will be shown on television beginning with a CBS broadcast of the Vanderbilt-Tennessee battle in Knoxville. Both match-ups against Kentucky, Florida and Tennessee will be televised, as will road contests at South Carolina and Mississippi State and a home game against Arkansas. Vanderbilt fans with Comcast cable services in the Davidson County-Nashville area can find Fox Sports Net on channel 28; Jefferson Pilot and UPN broadcasts on WUXP (UPN) channel 14; CSS games on channel 27 and WTVF-CBS on channel 5. Commodore fans outside Nashville should contact their local cable provider for station availability.
