Commodore Fans Encouraged to Bring Gifts For “Toys for Tots Night” When Vanderbilt Plays TCU

Vanderbilt fans attending the Commodores’ match-up against Conference USA foe TCU, Saturday, Dec. 18 at 7 p.m. CT are encouraged to bring gifts to Memorial Gymnasium in support of “Toys for Tots Night.”

“Toys for Tots” is a non-profit organization run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. Its mission is to collect new, unwrapped toys and distribute them as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community.

“The program is tied into Vanderbilt’s long-term goals of reaching out to the Nashville community and building stronger bonds within the city,” Vanderbilt Marketing Director Eric Nichols said.

The first 1,000 fans that bring a toy to the game will receive a free Vanderbilt Gold shaker. Bins will be distributed at all entrances for easy drop off.
