Busy weekend of home events at Vanderbilt

It will be another jam-packed weekend of home events for Vanderbilt. In action on campus will be Vanderbilt’s men’s basketball, men’s tennis and lacrosse teams.

The men’s basketball team hosts Texas A&M at 12:30 p.m. Saturday in a game that will air on SEC TV. The game can also be heard on 1510 AM, 560 AM & 95.9 FM with Joe Fisher and Tim Thompson on the call.

Tickets remain available for the game in what will be a rematch of Vanderbilt’s 66-55 victory in College Station just a few weeks ago. (Ticket Information)

Vanderbilt’s men’s tennis team hosts No. 18 Memphis at 2 p.m. Friday at the Currey Tennis Center. The 20th-ranked Commodores are 6-1 overall. Admission is free to the match. (More Information)

Vanderbilt’s lacrosse team hosts Liberty at 1 p.m. Saturday. The match will be Vanderbilt’s second of the season at home. The Commodores are 1-1 after dropping their home opener to UMass and defeating Kennesaw State to begin the year. Saturday’s home match will be webcast for free. (Watch)

Also in competition away from campus this weekend are the bowling, women’s track, baseball, men’s golf, women’s tennis and women’s basketball teams.

The baseball team is opening its season at Long Beach State. The three-game series begins Friday at 8 p.m. CT.
