NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The 20th-ranked Vanderbilt women’s golf team will compete in the Bryan Regional on May 6-8 at the Traditions Club in Bryan, Texas. The Commodores are the No. 4 seed in the regional which is hosted by Texas A&M.
Vandy is making its sixth-consecutive appearance in the NCAA Women’s Golf Regionals and the 24th trip in program history. The Dores have advanced to the NCAA Championships in each of the past two seasons and 12 times overall.
The Bryan Regional features 12 teams: LSU, Texas A&M, Clemson, Vanderbilt, SMU, Ohio State, Maryland, Iowa State, Texas State, Sam Houston, Sacred Heart and Little Rock. The top five teams at the regional will advance to the NCAA Championships in Carlsbad, California, on May 17-22.
The Commodores are playing postseason golf at Traditions Club for the first time since 2011 when the course hosted the NCAA Championships. Vanderbilt finished tied for 10th at the championships that season.
The Commodores captured a pair of tournament titles in the regular season, winning the Mason Rudolph Challenge in September and the Clemson Invitational in March. Vanderbilt produced six top-5 finishes in eight traditional stroke play events this season.
