Bowlers in New Texas Tourney

Dec. 1, 2011

Tournament facts: Vanderbilt joins 13 other programs for the inaugural Track Kat Klash, hosted by Sam Houston State. The tournament begins Friday morning at 10:40 (CT) with six Baker 4-game sets, transitions Saturday to five traditional games Saturday starting at 9:30 and concludes Sunday with the best four-of-seven Bakers at 8:30. The event is at the Huntsville Lanes, Huntsville, Tex., near Houston.

Commodores this fall: The Black and Gold have finished second in the Fairleigh Dickenson Invitational and two weeks ago won the Hawk Classic, hosted by Maryland-Eastern Shore.

Coach John Williamson Says: “We are looking forward to this new tournament. After a month of competing with many of the northeastern teams, we will turn our attention to primarily the Central Division. We’ve been generally pleased with our fall campaign so far but we have a lot of room for improvement, which we’ve been striving for the past couple of weeks.”

Traveling to Huntsville: Vanderbilt will take its usual unit of seniors Brittni Hamilton and Samantha Hesley, juniors Jessica Earnest, Kim Carper and Sarah O’Brien, freshmen Nicole Mosesso and Natalie Goodman. Freshman Rebeca Reguero of Glendale, Az., will make her first trip.

Watch the action: The tournament will be streamed live on Bowl.com
