LINCOLN, NE—Vanderbilt’s bowling team, fresh off a red-hot tournament win in Arkansas left Wednesday afternoon for the snow covered and frigid Midwest and the University of Nebraska’s Big Red Invite.
The Big Red is arranged in a relatively typical tournament style with the exception being it’s Thursday evening start rather than the typical Friday-Saturday-Sunday format. This event concludes Saturday.
Vanderbilt’s travel squad consisted of Amanda Halter, Kim Carper, Ellen Morrison, Brittni Hamilton, Samantha Hesley, Jessica Earnest and Kayla Rhoades. They will join a field of nine other schools and will play three, four-game Baker games Thursday (6:25 p.m. CT) to open the tourney.
Friday’s four team games begin at 11:30 and Saturday’s finale of three best four-of-seven Bakers start at 7:50 a.m.
Participating teams
Arkansas State, Bethune Cookman, Central Missouri, Elmhurst, Maryland-Eastern Shore, Minnesota-Mankato, Nebraska, Sam Houston State, Valparaiso and Vanderbilt.
