Bowlers Fifth after ASU's First Day

JONESBORO, Ark. – Vanderbilt found itself in fifth place after the first of three days of competition at Arkansas State’s Mid-Winter Invitational.

The Commodores went 4-1 on the day and totaled 4,760 total pins to trail first place Nebraska, which had 5,010.

Tara Kane led the Black and Gold with a 204 average, good for sixth place individually. Michelle Peloquin had an ice cold start (135) but recovered with the help of a 256 and one 240 to average 203 for the day and is in 10th position.

Saturday’s bowling begins at noon (five team games) and Sunday there are five Baker games (four-game total pins) starting at 8:30 a.m. All games are at the Jonesboro Bowling Center.
