Bliven, Kinney to Represent Dores at SEC SAAC Meeting

The SEC Student-Athlete Advisory Council annual meeting will be in Birmingham, Alabama

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt cross country’s Brady Bliven and volleyball’s Elli Kinney will represent the Commodores at the SEC Student-Athlete Advisory Council annual meeting on Friday and Saturday at the SEC offices in Birmingham, Alabama.

Twenty-nine student-athletes across all 16 SEC schools will gather in Birmingham for the opportunity to engage with campus leaders and conference office staff. Along with Student-Athlete Leadership Councils for football and men’s and women’s basketball, SAAC provides a conduit of communication to the conference office on issues related to student-athlete experience, student-athlete wellness and playing rules.

Agenda items for the SEC SAAC meeting include a conversation with SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey, a presentation from guest speaker Lauren Sisler, updates from NCAA SAAC, a review of NCAA & SEC Governance Structure & Legislation and SEC Start Up opportunities, and a discussion on SAAC campus programming.
