Bing Signs with Commodores

Pace Academy graduate set for freshman season in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Chandler Bing became the third member of the 2025 Vanderbilt men’s basketball high school recruiting class, Mark H. Carter and Family Head Coach Mark Byington announced Thursday.

A 6-foot-6 winger from Atlanta, Bing played his high school basketball at Pace Academy. He averaged 19.3 points as a senior, helping Pace to a 27-5 mark this season.

“Chandler fits Vanderbilt and fits our basketball culture,” Byington said. “He is an exceptional student with high character, and he is just 17 years old, so his potential and future are very exciting. He has great size for his position, can shoot it and is very competitive. I have had great success coaching players from Atlanta and expect he will have a successful career at Vandy.”

Bing played an integral part in leading Pace to the Georgia 4A state title game this spring. In addition to his 19.3 points, Bing averaged 6.2 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.3 steals per game in 2024-25.

The newest Commodore shot 59 percent from the field, co-leading Pace on the season. Bing led Pace with 72 steals and was second on the team with 25 blocks.

Bing ranked as one of the most efficient offensive players in high school basketball this season, averaging 1.14 points per possession. He capped his prep career by earning All-Metro and All-State honors.
