Basketball Doubleheader Parking and Game Ticket Information

Friday evening’s basketball doubleheader featuring Vanderbilt’s men’s and women’s basketball teams could be modestly affected from the normal parking pattern.

Parking in the Kensington Garage (attached to Memorial Gym) might be somewhat affected by the early 6:00 p.m. tip-off for the women’s game, for instance.

Because of the earlier start than usual, there may be a few more cars in the Kensington Garage than normal.  The University does not own the garage and according to our agreement, we cannot displace cars parked in reserved spots until after 6 p.m.

We have been working to get the word out to those that park in the Kensington Garage of our earlier tip-off and will do our very best to keep these reserved spots free of cars.  However, we cannot completely control the situation.  Please understand and accept our apologies if you should experience any minor inconvenience.

Those Commodore fans with Kensington Garage passes can park anywhere in the garage except the third level. This level is reserved.

The handicap parking will be in the normal lot (71 by the baseball field) and any overflow will be directed to McGugin Center.

Tickets for the unique doubleheader for those not holding season tickets are general admission in Sections G — K (lower south side).  Tickets to watch both games are $14.

Men’s season ticket holders who arrive while the women’s game is in progress are encouraged to go to open areas in Sections 2F and 2L and 2G — 2K.  When the women’s game concludes, you should go to your reserved seat.

Accordingly, women’s ticket holders are encouraged to sit in Sections G — H during the men’s game as this area should be largely open with Vanderbilt students on break.
