Baldwin, Jones confirmed for NBA Combine

Commodores Wade Baldwin IV and Damian Jones are on the list of invitations for the 2016 NBA Draft Combine, which will take place May 11-15. The announcement was made by the NBA on Thursday.

Baldwin IV, who was named a second-team All-SEC choice in 2016 and as a member of the 2015 All-SEC Freshman team, averaged 14.1 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 5.2 assists per game in his sophomore season and departs the Vanderbilt program as the all-time freshman and sophomore single-season assist leader. Baldwin’s 4.81 assist per game average in his career is second on VU’s all-time career list behind Jan van Breda Kolff’s 5.38 average and his 5.21 average in 2015-16 is sixth on the single-season list.

Jones, who earned All-SEC First-Team honors his sophomore and junior years and an All-SEC Freshman team honor in 2013-14, and will leave Vanderbilt with a cumulative 1,313 points, which is 24th on VU’s all-time scoring list. He is second on the career blocks list with 167, and his 1.69 blocks per game career mark is the second-best in program history. His 54 blocks in 2015-16 is also fifth all-time on VU’s single-season block list and he finished third on the Commodores’ all-time list in field-goal percentage in a career at 56.6%.
