Matchups
UC Irvine
• This is the first ever meeting between the Commodores and Anteaters.
Vanderbilt is 4-4 all-time against teams from the Big West, with the latest win against UC Riverside, 75-60, on Nov. 20, 2009.
The Commodores are 2-1 all-time playing in Seattle with victories over Montana and Kansas State coming in the first and second rounds of the 2005 NCAA Tournament.

Washington
Vanderbilt is 1-1 all-time against Washington, with the Commodores dropping the only matchup in Seattle, 82-71, on Dec. 6, 1997.
• The Commodores last win over Washington came in the first round of the 1997 NCAA Tournament in Lawrence, Kansas. The Commodores won 74-62 on their way to the program’s eighth straight Sweet 16 appearance.
• Vanderbilt is 20-9 all-time against the Pac-12, with the latest Commodore victory coming at USC, 74-56, on Dec. 29, 2012.

One Vandy Win Would…
… make the Commodores 8-3 or 8-4—their best start since 2016-17 (10-1 in White’s first season).
… be the first outside of Nashville this season and second road win (won at TSU, 106-55).
… be the eighth of the season, eclipsing last year’s win total and mark the most in a season since 2016-17.

Two Vandy Wins Would …
… make the Commodores 9-3—their best 12-game start since 2016-17 (10-2 in White’s first season).
… mark the first four-game winning streak since 2016-17.

A Vandy Loss Would…
… be the just the second in the United States this year.
… be less good than a win.

Below Deck: Vanderbilt
• Vanderbilt’s seven non-conference wins are the most since winning 10 in 2016-17.
• Vanderbilt has used four different starting lineups in the last four games. Freshman Koi Love made her first start in Vandy’s last contest (Dec. 5 vs. Tennessee Tech).
• Vanderbilt is 7-0 when holding opponents under 40 percent from the field (0-3 when not).
• The Commodores are 5-0 when they have fewer turnovers than their opponent (2-3 with more or equal).
• Vanderbilt has outrebounded every opponent this year.
• Vandy is 6-1 when shooting better than 40 percent.
• In 10 games this season, Vanderbilt has had four different leading scorers and four different leading rebounders.
•  Last season, Vanderbilt scored 80 points three times. In just the first six games this season, the Commodores eclipsed 80 points three times and 100 points once. The 106-point outing at Tennessee State was the program’s first over the century mark since 2011 at Florida.

Court Marital
• Sophomore Jordyn Cambridge entered the week ranked No. 17 in the nation and second in the SEC in steals. She has 31 steals this season after she totaled 20 steals in 24 games as a freshman last year.
Cambridge was the first Commodore with seven steals in a game (Nov. 17 vs. Saint Louis) since Jennifer Risper on Nov. 23, 2008 against Michigan.
At five-foot-nine, Cambridge is second on the team with seven blocks this season (she had two blocks last season). In addition, she hauled in a career-high nine rebounds on Dec. 15 against Eastern Kentucky and now has 6+ rebounds in six of 10 games this season.

Alexander the Sophomore
• Sophomore Brinae Alexander has scored in double figures in all six games this season and in eight straight overall. The last time she didn’t reach double figures was in Vanderbilt’s milestone win at Tennessee last February.
• In the season opener, Alexander (20 points, four steals) was the first Commodore in more than eight years to finish with 20+ points and 4+ steals in a game. The last Vanderbilt player to pull off the feat was Jence Rhoads when she went for 21 and 5 against Arkansas on March 4, 2010.

Plan of Attack
• Coach White’s halftime adjustments have been evident. Vanderbilt has won the third quarter in eight of its 10 games. Excluding No. 4 UConn, the Commodores have nearly doubled up the opposition in the third quarter, 176-95. That averages to an advantage of 20-11 every third quarter.

Home Port
• Vanderbilt surpassed its home win total from a year ago. The Commodores are 6-1 at Memorial (5-9 last season).
• Vanderbilt opened the season with five straight games at Memorial Gymnasium and went 4-1 with its only loss to No. 4 UConn (62-50).
• The Commodores did not leave the friendly confines of the Music City for their first six games. The first road contest of the season was at neighboring Tennessee State (Nov. 25).
• The first time the Commodores left Nashville this season was on a flight to the Bahamas. Vanderbilt joins Rutgers, Seton Hall and Georgia Tech at the Junkanoo Jam in Bimini, Nov. 28-29.
• The only other road contests for the Commodores in the nonconference season will be in Seattle, Washington. Vanderbilt will take on UC Irvine (Dec. 20) and Washington (Dec. 21) at the Husky Classic.

Looking Astern
• Vanderbilt didn’t record its seventh win of the 2018-19 season until the last day of February. On Sunday, head coach Stephanie White’s team pulled out a come-from-behind victory to beat Eastern Kentucky 75-69 – the team’s seventh triumph of the 2019-20 campaign.
• Vandy led 49-33 in the third, but trailed by four with four minutes to go. Freshman Koi Love scored the game-tying basket with 1:49 left and the game-winner with 48 seconds left en route to a career-high 17 points.
• Fifth-year senior Mariella Fasoula finished with her third straight double-double and fifth of the year with 11 points and 11 rebounds.

On Deck
• When the Commodores return home, they will conclude nonconference play against Columbia on Dec. 29 at 2 p.m. Popcorn and drinks are $1.
• SEC play will begin against Auburn on Jan. 2 at Memorial Gymnasium.
