NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt women’s golf head coach Greg Allen has been named to the watchlist for the Jackie Steinmann WGCA National Coach of the Year, the association announced on Monday.

Allen, already a member of the WGCA Coaches Hall of Fame, is one of 20 coaches on the watchlist headed into the postseason. The award will be presented following the NCAA Championship later this month.

Recognized as the highest annual coaching honor in women’s collegiate golf, the Jackie Steinmann WGCA National Coach of the Year Presented by Golf Pride is awarded annually to the top coach in Division I, II, III, and NAIA women’s golf.

Under Allen’s guidance, the Commodores are in NCAA postseason play for the eighth consecutive season as the black and gold travels to Stanford in the coming week. The Commodores are ranked No. 13 in the national polls and are aiming for a fifth-straight trip to the National Championship round.

Vanderbilt has won two tournaments and posted seven top five finishes this season. The Commodores also advanced to match play at the SEC Tournament for the first time since 2022-23.

Allen will lead the Commodores in the Stanford Regional beginning Monday, May 11. The top five teams at the regional will advance to the NCAA Championships in Carlsbad, California, May 22-27.
