NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt bowling graduate student Isabel Allen was tabbed the Conference USA Co-Bowler of the Month for January, the league announced Wednesday.
Allen earned her third all-tournament team honor of the season at the Prairie View A&M Invitational. She was also named the tournament MVP after topping the individual leaderboard with scores of 235, 268, 236, 267, 233 and 201. Her 240.00 average is the third highest tournament average in program history. After Day 2, Allen was averaging 247.80 pins per game, which was 11 pins higher than the bowler in second place.
As anchor on Day 1 and leadoff on Days 2 and 3, Allen’s efforts contributed to the Dores winning the PVAMU Invitational and sweeping 2024 NCAA champion Jacksonville State in the final match.
To start off the spring season, Allen compiled a 50% strike percentage during Baker play at the Northeast Classic.
Allen and the rest of the Vanderbilt bowling team return to the lanes Friday when they compete in the Storm Flyer Classic in Lockport, Illinois.
