Vanderbilt junior golfer Marina Alex is currently tied for the individual lead at the NCAA Fall Preview with a six under-par, 138, and the Commodores are in a tie for fourth in the team standings. – Grehan had five birdies and three bogeys in her round Tuesday. Alex had three birdies and two bogeys.

General Thoughts
– “I had to change up what I was thinking after a birdie-birdie finish for Grehan and Stratty. The finish helped us get back under par, where we started going into the day. We took some pretty good shots from Alabama and USC today when we didn’t really play our best. Nothing clicked. “
On Marina’s round
– She had an average round today…putter just wasn’t working. She had some good looks on the green, but couldn’t get any of the putts to drop.
On Grehan’s round
– “She’s making it look easy. She’s not letting anything get to her. Great finish…she chipped in on 17, and put it within a foot on 18.”

General Thoughts on Today’s Round
– “It was okay today. I couldn’t get any momentum going throughout the day. It was really hot out there, and it seemed like I was out there for three days.”
You’re in contention for another title…what needs to happen tomorrow?
– “Nothing in particular. Just take it one shot at a time and see what happens.”
You had a birdie-birdie finish…talk about that.
– “I chipped in on 17 and made a short birdie putt on 18. It was a good way to finish.”
What were the keys to your round?
– “Just being patient. There are a lot of birdies out there to be had, but you can’t get them all.”
