On grading his team’s performance:
“Well, we didn’t win it, so it’s not going to be a high grade. I’d give us an A for effort, but other than that, we did some things well, but we need to get better on transition defense. It was not a lost cause. I’ll take the effort tonight.”

On struggling in the second half:
“We made the decision to stay with our best players and I think it wore us down. We got tired. We were never able to play aggressively enough to get to the line. We did a good job of it in the second half, but we were tired and didn’t get there in the second half.”

On Kudus Ogbara:
“He did a good job. He had some blocks for us. He “glassed” really well. It was a pretty solid effort. He did make some mistakes defensively down the stretch that hurt us — he and Michael Ford — but it was a pretty solid effort.”

On changing defenses in the second half:
“Defensively we did some things to help us. We had nine blocks against a team that is taller than us. But they shot 53 percent in the second half and that’s because of all those transition lay-ups. We need to get back to work and keep people from running and pushing it on us.”
