Abigania Adds Another Honor

Katelyn Abigania earns a spot on the NTCA All-Rookie First Team

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt bowling’s Katelyn Abigania added another postseason honor to her resume as the freshman was named to the National Tenpin Coaches Association All-Rookie First Team on Wednesday morning.

Abigania has been a mainstay in the Commodores’ lineup this season, anchoring the team throughout the NCAA Regional Championship. She was a part of the Dores’ 300 Baker game during the opening round match vs. Dominican (N.Y.), striking out in the 10th frame to seal the perfect score.

In her first collegiate season, Abigania has been recognized on three all-tournament teams, the most of any Commodore this season. At the Northeast Classic, she compiled a 237 tournament average, ranked seventh in school history, to place second individually.

Abigania has garnered All-Conference USA Second Team and CUSA All-Rookie team honors as well in 2025-26.

The No. 2-seeded Commodores are back in action when they play No. 3 Arkansas State on Friday in the first round of the National Collegiate Bowling Championship Final Four.
