NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Southeastern Conference announced the 2025 women’s basketball schedule on Wednesday. Vanderbilt opens its SEC slate at Memorial Gymnasium on Jan. 2 against Georgia.
The Commodores enter Year 4 under the direction of head coach Shea Ralph. Vandy returns 10 players from last season’s 23-win team that earned an at-large berth into the NCAA Tournament. Vanderbilt set the school record for most SEC road wins in a season in 2023-24, as the Commodores captured six league wins away from Memorial Gym en route to a 9-7 SEC record.

The Dores will once again play a 16-game SEC schedule in 2025. The SEC women’s basketball schedule consists of a single round-robin of home or away contests (14 games) with Vanderbilt playing a home-and-home series with Ole Miss. Each SEC team will play eight games at home and on the road. This marks the 16th season that the SEC has featured a 16-game schedule for women’s basketball.

SEC games begin for the Commodores with back-to-back home games against Georgia (Jan. 2) and Kentucky (Jan. 5).
Vanderbilt’s first SEC road trip comes on Jan. 9, when the Dores travel to Ole Miss. After battling the Rebels, the Commodores head to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, for a Jan. 13 matchup against LSU.
Vandy returns to Memorial Gym on Jan. 19 to face rival Tennessee in the lone regular season contest between the in-state foes. The Commodores host Arkansas on Jan. 23, before closing out January with road games at Alabama (Jan. 26) and Florida (Jan. 30).
The Dores welcome Ole Miss to the Music City on Feb. 2 for the second contest between the two schools. Vanderbilt battles SEC newcomer Texas on Feb. 6, as the Commodores make their first trip to Austin, Texas, since Dec. 20, 1995.
After 11 days away from Memorial Gym, the Commodores return to Nashville on Feb. 13 against Mississippi State. It’ll be a brief stay at home for the Dores, as they hit the road for games at Auburn (Feb. 16) and Oklahoma (Feb. 20). The Sooners, who are also playing in their first SEC season, will take on the Commodores in Norman, Oklahoma, for the first time since Dec. 16, 2012.
The final homestand of the 2024-25 season opens on Feb. 23, when Vanderbilt hosts the defending national champions, South Carolina. The Dores end the 2024-25 regular season home slate on Feb. 27 with a matchup with Texas A&M, before closing SEC play on March 2 at Missouri.
The regular season concludes with the 2025 SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament being held for the eighth time at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina. The tournament, which will include all 16 teams, begins on Wednesday, March 5, and concludes with the championship game on Sunday, March 9.
The SEC women’s basketball television schedule will be announced later, as will tip-off times for all games.
