Commodores Conclude Day One of Vanderbilt Indoor

Results (Day One)

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Commodore track and field team kicked off the Vanderbilt Indoor Friday night at the Multipurpose Facility.

Seven student-athletes competed for the Commodores.
 
The distance medley relay team of Haley Walker, Kendall Derry, Grace Jensen and Reagan Bustamante took first place with a time of 11:46.23.
 
In the 200-meter dash, Taiya Shelby finished 13th in a field of 102 with a time of 24.97 while Regan Clay finished 19th with a time of 25.17.
 
Caroline Pietrzyk anchored the evening in the 5000-meter run. She finished sixth in a field of 21.
 
The two-day event will resume tomorrow at 10 a.m. Vanderbilt will have 17 athletes competing.
