Vanderbilt Set to Compete in Dual Meet

College Station, Texas – The Vanderbilt swim team travels to College Station, Texas Friday to compete in a dual meet against No. 9-ranked Texas A&M and Houston.
 
The Commodores take on a top-10 SEC opponent in Texas A&M with the Aggies fresh off of a win over LSU, 172-121. The Aggies are currently 6-1 with a 172-123 defeat by No. 1-ranked Texas,marking their only loss of the season so far. 
 
Previously ranked in the Top 25 nationally before falling to Arkansas, the Houston Cougars pose strong competition as well for the Dores with a current 5-1 record and talented roster.
 
The Commodores head to Texas after earning a dominant win over Marshall University, 148-113 where the Dores earned multiple podium finishes. The Commodores are currently 2-2 and 0-2 in the SEC.
 
Head coach Jeremy Organ said he looks forward to the competition and is ready to watch his team compete in a tough battle this Saturday.
 
“We’re excited to go compete against a very good and experienced Texas A&M team. They have earned the SEC championship title the past 3 consecutive years so they are obviously very talented. Houston is having a terrific year as well, earning a ranking in the Top 25 this year. This weekend will be a challenge from the first event to the last,” Organ said.
