NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt concludes its road trip on Friday against San Diego State at 9 p.m. CT.
The Commodores (5-0) are fresh off a 15-14 victory over Arizona State, which gave them their best start since 2008. That season the Dores also began 5-0.
Emily Mathewson, last season’s leading scorer, has been riding a red-hot start to 2019. She has scored a total of six goals in her past two games, including the game-winner against Louisville with four seconds left in overtime.
The Dores continue to be dominant on both sides of the field and find themselves ranked third in the nation in assists per game (9.50), third in caused turnovers per game (15.25) and eighth in points per game (25.25).
