Seven Commodores named NTCA to All-Academic Team

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt has been recognized by The National Tenpin Coaches Association as a team that excelled during the 2020-21 academic year.

The Commodores, with a team GPA of 3.62, met the criteria of having a cumulative team GPA of a 3.2 or higher for the academic school year. A record 59 bowling programs achieved a cumulative team GPA of 3.2 or higher.

The NTCA also recognized student-athletes who excelled in the classroom throughout the academic year. This year there were 385 honorees representing NCAA bowling programs at 63 schools.

A student-athlete must have had a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher for the academic school year to qualify.

Amanda Naujokas (undeclared), Amelia Kiefer (human and organizational development), Angelica Anthony (medicine, health and society), Angelique Dalesandro (human and organizational development), Jennifer Loredo (undeclared), Lauren Potechin (mechanical Engineering and mathematics) and Mabel Cummins (neuroscience) were all named to the 2020-21 NTCA All-Academic team.
