National championship hardware set for 10 appearances

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt’s second installment of its trophy tour gets underway Friday when the baseball program’s national championship hardware makes its first of 10 appearances over a nine-day timeframe across the greater Nashville area.

Fans in attendance at each stop prior to Sept. 21 can enter to win four tickets to Vanderbilt football’s 11 a.m. contest against LSU one week from Saturday. Attendees can also enter a chance to win a framed panoramic print of the College World Series signed by Commodore head coach Tim Corbin at all events.

Stops on the tour include Gary Force Acura (Sept. 13), Corner Pub Downtown (Sept. 16), Puckett’s Grocery & Restaurant Franklin (Sept. 17), Kroger Green Hills (Sept. 17), San Antonio Taco Company (Sept. 18), Moe’s Southwest Grill Hendersonville (Sept. 18), Pizza Perfect Hillsboro Village (Sept. 19), Broadway Cumberland Riverfront (Sept. 20), Sam’s Place Belle Meade (Sept. 20) and Vandyville (Sept. 21).

Vanderbilt opens fall training Oct. 8. Full-squad training sessions open to the public will take place Oct. 8-11. The squad will play two exhibitions, facing Oklahoma State in Kansas City on Oct. 26 before hosting Michigan on Nov. 10. The club will put on its annual Black and Gold Series from Nov. 12-16.
