To members of Commodore Nation,
With the win by our men’s basketball team over UNC Asheville, Vanderbilt Athletics finished the year with a victory. In addition to this finishing victory on the basketball court, Vanderbilt student-athletes finished the 2018 fall semester with a grade-point average that exceeded 3.0 for the 27th straight semester.
With a national championship in bowling, conference championships in women’s tennis and soccer, and our fifth football bowl trip in the past eight years leading the way, 2018 was another successful year for the Commodores. This was only possible because of the great support we get from our wonderful fans like each of you.
I want to take this moment to thank each and every one of you for your support of Vanderbilt Athletics and our amazing student-athletes over the past year. For those of you that traveled to Houston for the Texas Bowl, you were outstanding — or as my wife likes to say, “You rock!”
Thank you all so much, and I wish for each of you a very happy New Year’s and an outstanding 2019.
