Tiebreak Heartbreak for the Dores

Vandy falls 4-3 on second day of SEC Tournament

AUBURN, Ala. – Vanderbilt men’s tennis fell in the second round of the SEC championships Thursday evening, falling 4-3 in the final tiebreak to No. 5 seed Texas A&M.

The Aggies picked up the early advantage, winning the doubles point with victories on Courts 1 and 3. The team score was quickly evened, however, with Commodore Jeremie Casabon winning straight sets in his singles match. Texas A&M picked up singles points from Courts 1 and 6 before Michael Ross and Siim Troost won their respective matches to tie the score. At 3-3, the match came down to Joubert Klopper on Court 2, who ultimately fell to his Aggie opponent in a tiebreaker in the third set.

Texas A&M advances to face No. 4 seed South Carolina in the quarterfinals of the tournament.
