Tavistock Collegiate Awaits Commodores

Vanderbilt to compete with nation’s best

WINDERMERE, Fla. – After a second-place finish at the Crooked Stick Collegiate on Tuesday, the Commodore men’s golf team is back on the course this Sunday through Tuesday at the Tavistock Collegiate Invitational at the Isleworth Country Club. Vanderbilt, the defending champions of the event, will compete with some of the nation’s best teams.

The Commodores will compete against UCF, Augusta, California, Illinois, Arizona State, Texas Tech, Florida, West Virginia, Texas, South Carolina, LSU, Minnesota, Auburn, and UNLV next week.

“We are looking forward to heading to one of our favorite events of the year at the TCI,” said Vanderbilt head coach Scott Limbaugh. “Isleworth is a really great test and I think it rewards the players and teams that are tough enough, have a plan, and stick to it. This is a really quick turnaround for us and my challenge to the guys has been to keep looking forward to this next opportunity and keep growing so we can learn what it means to truly play one shot at a time. Talent will not speed us up or slow us down. It is all about having the right mindset and the right focus on the right things.”

Vanderbilt will send senior John Augenstein, junior Harrison Ott, sophomores Reid Davenport and Michael Shears, and freshman William Moll to compete at the par-72, 7,544-yard Isleworth Country Club.
