  • The No. 25 Commodores travel to Chapel Hill, N.C. to take on top-ranked North Carolina on Sunday, Feb. 28 at 10 a.m. CT (11 a.m. ET).
  • Vanderbilt is ranked No. 25 in the Feb. 22 IWLCA poll. It is Vandy’s first appearance in the IWLCA poll since ranking No. 20 on April 23, 2012.
  • The Commodores have won two in a row, most recently earning a 16-10 win over Central Michigan on Feb. 24 behind five goals from senior Elizabeth Scarrone.
  • Junior Bri Gross leads Vanderbilt with 16 draw controls on the season. She now has 98 for her career and needs two more to join the program’s top 10 list in the category.
  • Sophomore goalkeeper Paige Gunning has anchored Vanderbilt’s defense through the first three games. The AAC Defensive Player of the Week is tied for 10th nationally with 11.0 saves per game.
  • Sunday’s game at UNC marks the seventh versus a ranked opponent in Vanderbilt’s last eight games.
  • Vanderbilt head coach Beth Hewitt played for the Tar Heels during her time at UNC. A 2004 graduate, Hewitt helped lead UNC to the 2002 NCAA Final Four as a sophomore and was an All-ACC performer as a senior.
  • The Dores are 1-18 in the all-time series versus UNC with the lone win coming on April 9, 2004. Since then, the Tar Heels have won 10 in a row in the series.
