NASHVILLE, Tenn. – By virtue of a 5-0 victory Wednesday night over Alabama State, ninth-ranked Penn State has advanced to the second round of the 2020 NCAA Women’s Soccer Tournament and will meet 16th-seeded Vanderbilt on Saturday afternoon.
This weekend’s game marks the first-ever meeting between the two sides. Vanderbilt and Penn State are two of just 17 teams in the country to have made each of the last four NCAA Tournaments.
Kickoff between the Commodores and Nittany Lions is set for 2 p.m. CT at WakeMed Soccer Park. The game is set to air on GoHeels TV.
