Donovan Sheffield

Donovan Sheffield is the assistant director of human resources at Vanderbilt, joining the team in 2021. Sheffield serves as the primary human capital management specialist, executing transactions on behalf of the department’s employees. He is responsible for coordinating the department’s equity, diversity and inclusion efforts, as well as contributing to the department’s overall leadership development.
Sheffield served in 2019 as an athletics graduate assistant. He received his master of education degree in leadership and organizational performance from Vanderbilt in 2021.
Donovan is a former student-athlete at Vanderbilt who competed as a defensive back on the Commodore football team from 2015-18. His undergraduate studies culminated in a bachelor of science in human and organizational development in 2019.
