NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Vanderbilt bowling team, ranked No. 2 in the NTCA February Coaches Poll, takes a road trip to Jonesboro, Arkansas, for Arkansas State’s Mid-Winter Invitational at Hijinx Family Fun Center Friday through Sunday.
The last time out
The Commodores will look to bounce back after notching a sixth-place finish at the Storm Flyer Classic last weekend. Highlights from the event included a 299 Baker game on Day 3 and freshman Saphyre Nofuente’s individual performance on Day 2. Nofuente recorded scores of 213, 275 and 289 for the event’s highest game average, 259 pins per game. Her 289 game is the highest individual game by a Commodore this season and tied for seventh highest in school history.
At the 2024 Mid-Winter Invitational, Vanderbilt earned a runner up finish to host Arkansas State, defeating then-No. 2 Youngstown State and top-ranked Jacksonville State. In their win over the Gamecocks, the Commodores recorded the program’s seventh 300 Baker game.

The weekend ahead
Action gets underway in Jonesboro Friday at 10 a.m. with five sets of five Baker games. Saturday’s five traditional games are slated to begin at 9:25 a.m. Sunday’s bracket play will start at 8:10 a.m.
