Matt Manninger

Assistant Strength Coach (Football)

The 2020 season for Matt Manninger is his sixth as a member of the Vanderbilt staff, serving as an assistant to head strength coach James Dobson.

A graduate of Nebraska, Manninger has worked at Vanderbilt with Dobson’s staff since 2015.

Before joining the Commodore program, Manninger worked as a strength intern at Maryland during the 2014 football season. He also served as a strength intern with Idaho student-athletes during the summer of 2014.

As an undergraduate student in Lincoln, Manninger earned a letter in 2012 as a linebacker with the Cornhusker football team.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in dietetics and nutrition/exercise and health sciences from Nebraska. He later completed a master’s in human nutrition from Eastern Michigan.

Professionally, Manninger is certified through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association.
