NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt and Cincinnati meet at noon CT on Saturday to conclude the 2022 regular season. The action will air live on YouTube.
• The Commodores lead the all-time series against the Bearcats, 8-2, and won both meetings last season. The Bearcats will be playing in Nashville for the first time since 2018.
• Vandy is dedicating Saturday’s game to Morgan’s Message. The organization was founded to honor the legacy of Morgan Rodgers, a women’s lacrosse student-athlete at Duke who died by suicide in 2019. Morgan’s Message amplifies stories, resources, and expertise to confront student-athlete mental health, builds a community by and for athletes, and provides a platform for advocacy.
• Saturday is Senior Day for Vanderbilt. The Commodores will honor six seniors prior to first draw (Callie Sundin, Maddie Souza, Emily Brooks, Karlie Bucci, Megan MacGillis, Bri Gross). The Senior Day ceremony will begin at 11:40 a.m. CT.
• Vanderbilt earned a dominant win on the road, defeating Old Dominion 20-9 behind a five-goal performance from Maddie Souza.
• Gabby Fornia finished with six points on five assists and a goal.
• Vanderbilt went on a 9-0 run in the first half to gain control and never looked back.
