NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Due to inclement weather from Winter Storm Uri this week and more winter weather in the forecast, Vanderbilt’s women’s tennis match scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday against LSU has been postponed.
Instead of playing their SEC opener against LSU on Thursday, the Commodores and Tigers will now meet at noon Monday at the Currey Tennis Center.
Because of the postponement, Vanderbilt’s SEC opener will now come at noon Saturday when it meets Texas A&M in Nashville.
Both of Vanderbilt’s scheduled weekend opponents are ranked in this week’s Oracle/ITA rankings with Texas A&M at No. 21 and LSU at No. 23. The Commodores, fresh off the road win at formerly No. 9 Georgia Tech, have taken the Yellow Jackets’ spot and are ranked No. 9 in the country this week.
