Sattelkau Named an All-American

Senior a second-team selection

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt’s Celina Sattelkau was named an All-American on Friday by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association.

Sattelkau, a senior, was placed on the Second Team. It’s the second time in her career that she’s been named an All-American.

From Neustadt, Germany, Sattelkau finished the 2022-23 season by finishing tied for 60th at the NCAA Championships. She had a team-leading 71.2 stroke average for the season, a team-leading 16 rounds under par and was a First Team All-SEC selection.

Sattelkau recorded five top-five finishes and seven top-10 placements. A third-place tie at the FAU Paradise Invitational Invitational was a season-best.

Fifty student-athletes were selected for the prestigious recognition of All-American. The criteria used to determine the teams includes head-to-head competition, comparison with common opponents, scoring average, finishes in regular-season events and tournament wins and strength of schedule.
