Robb-Wilcox Named to SEC Community Service Team

Vanderbilt’s 18th Community Service honoree for men’s tennis

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt sophomore Connor Robb-Wilcox has been named to the Southeastern Conference Men’s Tennis Community Service Team, as announced by the league office Thursday.

This marks the 18th year a Vanderbilt representative has been named to the SEC Men’s Tennis Community Service Team, including nine consecutive years since 2014. The SEC sponsors Community Service Teams for all 21 league sponsored sports. The Community Service Team looks to highlight a student-athlete from each school who gives back to their community in superior service efforts.

The Salt Lake City native has spent the majority of his service time as a team captain with Miracle Network Dance Marathon, a student-led movement on campus supporting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals that raises funds all year long for children at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt by hosting various events and fundraisers around campus. As the leader for the men’s tennis team for the event, Robb-Wilcox raised funds and financial support through donations, as well as working with Dance Marathon leaders to plan and execute team meet and greets with their assigned miracle child.

Robb-Wilcox has also excelled in the classroom during his time at Vanderbilt. He was named to the 2021 First-Year SEC Academic Honor Roll and is majoring in human and organizational development.

The Commodores will close the regular season in the Magnolia State against a pair of ranked SEC West foes. Vandy will head to Starkville, Mississippi, for a matchup against Mississippi State at 3 p.m. Friday before trekking to Oxford, Mississippi, to face Ole Miss at 1 p.m. next Sunday.
