NASHVILLE, Tenn. — With the large majority of next year’s recruiting class now signed, Vanderbilt men’s tennis is officially ranked at No. 3 in the country for its 2025 class, announced by the Tennis Recruiting Network on Monday.
Vanderbilt added three as part of its historic class: Hoyoung Roh, Jack Satterfield and Cayden Wang. Hoyoung, the highest ranked recruit in program history, is currently with the team, but was placed under academic redshirt and will not compete until the fall. Satterfield and Wang, both highly sought after Blue Chip recruits, will join the team ahead of the fall season.
“We are really excited and fired up to have Roh, Jack and Cayden competing for us and wearing the black and gold next year,” head coach Scott Brown said. “All three of them are going to make an immediate impact and will be instrumental in helping us continue to push the program forward. More importantly, they carry themselves with the values and professionalism that align with what our university and men’s tennis culture is about at Vanderbilt. We cannot wait to get started with them. Anchor down!”
Tennis Recruiting Network uses multiple junior tennis experts to determine its class rankings: reporters, national and international tournament directors, referees, ranking chairmen, and writers from across the country were involved in the rankings’ creation. The No. 3 spot marks the highest national ranking for a recruiting class in program history. Only defending NCAA champion TCU at No. 1 and North Carolina at No. 2 sit higher.
