Ott Named WSGA Player of the Year

Vanderbilt senior recognized by Wisconsin organization

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt’s Harrison Ott has been named the Wisconsin State Golf Association 2020 Player of the Year, the organization announced this month.

Ott, from Brookfield, Wisconsin, is a senior who won the 2020 Wisconsin State Open in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in August. He shot a 270 after rounds of 67-67-68-68 to win by six strokes.

He also won two matches at the U.S. Amateur Championships in Oregon in August.

Ott has made the SEC Academic Honor Roll as a junior, sophomore and freshman and tied for seventh at Desert Mountain Intercollegiate earlier this spring. During his sophomore season he finished tied for 30th at the NCAA Championships

In two events this fall season for Vanderbilt, Ott finished tied for 31st at the Vanderbilt Legends Collegiate and came in 67th at the Blessings Collegiate Invitational.
