Odeyingbo Invited to NFL Combine

Event not held in centralized location in 2021 due to COVID-19 pandemic

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Former Vanderbilt standout Dayo Odeyingbo has officially been invited to the 2021 NFL Scouting Combine. The NFL, working closely with schools and conferences, will be implementing a decentralized Pro Days-only workout model for all prospects as a reimagined NFL Scouting Combine.

Odeyingbo, a 6-foot-6, 276-pound defensive lineman from Irving, Texas, lettered four (2017-18-19-20) seasons for the Commodores, playing in 44 career games and starting 29. He finished his career with 125 tackles, 31.0 tackles for loss, 12.0 sacks, one interception, one caused fumble, two fumble recoveries and 22 quarterback pressures. He ranks fifth in Vandy history in career tackles for loss.

The All-SEC second team honoree in 2020 tallied 33 games with two or more tackles and nine with five or more tackles, including a career-high seven stops against Texas A&M in 2020 and East Tennessee State in 2019. Odeyingbo also booked a personal-best 3.5 tackles for loss against East Tennessee State in 2019. He collected at least one tackle in the final 25 games of his career.

A medicine, health and society major at Vanderbilt, Odeyingbo’s brother Dare, was also a defensive lineman for the Commodores.
