No. 33 Ole Miss Outlasts Commodores

Vandy travels to Alabama, Auburn next weekend

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt men’s tennis fell short on Sunday, dropping a 5-2 contest to No. 33 Ole Miss.

Dores duo Nathan Cox and Michael Ross found the first doubles victory of the afternoon, winning 6-4 on Court 2. Ole Miss won Court 1, splitting the doubles matches. After forcing the tiebreak set, the Dores were unable to clinch the doubles point, falling 7-6 on Court 3.

In singles play, Siim Troost tied the score, picking up a point for the Commodores from straight set wins on Court 4. The Rebels rebounded, winning Court 3. The remaining four matches saw the Commodores force third sets, with Macsen Sisam defeating his Ole Miss opponent for the Dores’ second singles point on the day. Ultimately, the Rebels persevered to win the match 5-2.
