The Commodores’ last competed in the Miami Spring Invite in Coral Gables, Florida where they earned 20 singles victories over the Invite.

Friday’s match against the Dores will mark the first match of the 2019 season for the Memphis Tigers who have not competed since the Roberta Alison Classic in October.

Head coach Geoff Macdonald said he looks forward to this weekend’s competition.

“We are thrilled to be hosting. We have three very good quality teams here in Winthrop, Memphis and Oklahoma. It should be great tennis starting tomorrow with Winthrop and Oklahoma then following by Vanderbilt vs. Memphis,” said Macdonald.

“It’s a very high-stakes tournament. I think our team has been working hard and pointing towards this since early January so we are very excited and look forward to a good weekend ahead.”

The ITA Kick-off will take place at the Vanderbilt Currey Tennis Center and admission is free.
