Gordon, Humphrey and Martin named GCAA All-American Scholars

Will Gordon, Theo Humphrey and Patrick Martin were named as All-American Scholars by the Golf Coaches Association of America for their work in the classroom in their Vanderbilt golf careers.

To be eligible for Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar status an individual must be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least three full years at the collegiate level, participate in 50-percent of his team’s competitive rounds, have a stroke-average under 76.0 in Division I, 78.0 in Division II, 78.0 in NAIA and 79.0 in Division III, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.

The trio becomes the 18th, 19th, and 20th Commodore all-time selections to the team, with Humphrey making his second appearance on the list with Martin and Gordon making their first All-America Scholar team.  Humphrey, a first-team All-American, SEC Player of the Year and SEC Scholar Athlete of the Year, is currently playing on the PGA MacKenzie Tour in Canada, while Martin and Gordon, who were Honorable Mention All-Americans in 2017-18, will return for their senior seasons this fall.
