DALLAS—-Vanderbilt’s Samantha Gainor turned in another strong performance Tuesday at the Junior Gold Championship and ended the day in fifth place in the field of 855.
Gainor had games of 204-168-225-235 and now has an eight-game average of 214.88 (+119). She trails Kamerin Peters, the leader who is +200 with two more days of qualifying remaining.
Two other Commodores are near the Top 25. Adel Wahner is 23rd and Brogan Zengel is 26th, finishing her set strong after some early wobbles.
Other Commodores at this prestigious event are Kelsey Abrahamsen, who is 58th, Bryanna Leyen, Lauren Potechin and Angelique Dalesandro.
