Southland honors Quah again

FRISCO, Texas – Vanderbilt’s Kristin Quah is the Southland Bowling League’s Bowler of the Month for November, the league has announced.

Quah capped a November outing where she appeared in a pair of tournaments while helping the Commodores to a first-place team finish at the UMES Hawk Classic Nov. 16-18. The senior ranks first in individual scoring average among the Southland Bowling League averaging 21.932 over 367 frames played.

The Singapore native competed at the UMES Hawk Classic where she placed fifth overall with a 215.20 average and was named the tournament’s most valuable player. Quah also placed third individually at the Whitewater Warhawk Open recording a traditional average of 226.40.

She currently leads the Southland Bowling League in 17 individual categories including all scoring categories.

Kristin becomes the second Commodore to win Southland’s Bowler of the Month this season.  Maria Bulanova received the honor for October.  Quah had previously won this award in November, 2016.

Southland Bowlers of the Month are voted upon by the league’s sports information directors. Voting for one’s own bowler is not permitted. To receive honorable mention, a player must appear on 25 percent of ballots.
