Dores finish eighth concluding day two of Phill Hansel

Houston, Texas- The Vandy swim team competed in day two of the Phill Hansel Invitational earning twenty-two final swims closing the day in eighth place. 
 
Starting day two off with the prelim rounds, twenty-two Dores earned second swims in the 400 Y IM, 100 Y Breast, 100 Fly, 100 Back and 200 Free.
 
Kicking off the finals for the Dores, freshman Lizzy Colwell earned her second final swim of the Invitational competing in the 400 Y IM. The freshman competed in the B final round earning sixteenth place with a time of 4:32.04. 
 
Swimming in the D final for the Commodores, fellow freshman Lauren Thomas also earned her second final swim of the Invitational finishing with a time of 4:27.70 dropping two seconds off of her prelim time. 
 
In the 100 Y Fly, six Commodores competed in the final swim with freshman Tonner DeBeer leading the Dores in the B final earning a time of 54.72 followed by fellow freshman Abby Burke competing in her third final of the Invitational swimming a time of 56.15 placing twentieth in the event. 
 
Three Dores competed in the C final of the 100 Y Breast with Hannah Hunt earning nineteenth place swimming a time of 1:03.56 followed by Colwell placing twenty-first in the event with a time of 1:04.20. Concluding races in the C final for the Commodores, Lindsey Gordon swam a time of 1:06.25 earning the sophomore twenty-fourth place in the event. 
 
Concluding day two’s individual races, freshman DeBeer competed in her third final swim of the Phill Hansel placing eighth in the A final of the 100 Y Back with a time of 56.48 followed by senior Johanna Goldblatt placing eleventh swimming a time of 55.83. Fellow senior Madison Eaker concluded the B final swimming a time of 57.06. 
 
In relays, the Vanderbilt A relay; Goldblatt, Colwell, DeBeer and Kaley Buchanan earned fourth place in the 200 Y Medley relay with a time of 1:41.21. Concluding relays for the Dores, the Vanderbilt A relay; Burke, DeBeer, Eaker and Namilla Sanchez competed in the 800 Y Freestyle relay earning seventh place swimming a time of 7:32.30. 
 
The Vandy swim team concludes the Phill Hansel Invitational Sunday competing in the 1650 Y Free, 200 Y Back, 100 Y Free, 200 Y Breast, 200 Y Fly and 400 Y Free relay.
