MG signs William Moll and Matthew Riedel to NLI’s

Vanderbilt head coach Scott Limbaugh has announced the signing of William Moll and Matthew Riedel to National Letters of Intent, with both players eligible to begin their Commodore careers in the fall of 2019.

“We couldn’t be more excited to have William and Matthew and their families join our Vanderbilt golf family,” said Vanderbilt head coach Scott Limbaugh.  “They have both done things the right way and have high standards for themselves both on the course and in the classroom.  They also have shown that they are winners as both of them have competed and won at the highest levels of junior golf.  Vanderbilt golf means a lot to a lot of people and we take great pride in identifying the right kind of young people that believe in the culture and the standard of excellence we have here.”

Moll, from Memorial High School in Houston, is the number two ranked player in the 2019 class by the AJGA and the third-ranked player according to Golfweek.  Moll was the 2017 Junior Jones Cup Champion and was a member of the 2018 USA Junior Ryder Cup Team.

“William has really impressed us with his competitive character and golf IQ,” said Limbaugh.  “He turned himself into one of the elite recruits in the country with consistent play on the biggest stages of junior golf including this year’s Junior Ryder Cup.”

Riedel, from Stratford High School in Houston, is the reigning Texas State High School individual champion and the 23rd-ranked member of the 2019 recruiting class according to the Junior Golf Scoreboard.

“Matthew is a talented player with a very high ceiling,” added Limbaugh.  “He is a consistent ball striker who knows how to compete as shown by winning last year Texas High School State Championship.”
