NASHVILLE – Fresh off clinching its first SEC regular season championship since 1994, Vanderbilt hits the road to face Ole Miss on Thursday in Oxford, Miss. to wrap up conference play.

The Commodores made program history this week, as well, by earning a No. 7 national ranking in the United Soccer Coaches Poll, the program’s highest ranking in school history. The Commodores (15-1-1, 8-0-1) are looking to finish undefeated in conference play for the first time since 1994.

The Dores are also on a 16-game unbeaten streak, which is the longest such streak in program history. They have also locked up the No. 1 seed in next week’s SEC Tournament.

This week also saw multiple Commodore players earn national recognition. Haley Hopkins earned her third SEC Player of the Week honor while Grace Jackson was named to the Top-Drawer Soccer Team of the Week.

Jackson scored in both games last weekend giving her four goals on the season. Hopkins added one goal and two assists last weekend to give her a team-high 12 goals. Her two assists also jumped her to the team lead in that category.

During conference play, Hopkins leads the conference in points (17) and goals (7).

Lauren Demarchi has remained a key component for the Commodores’ defense. The junior goalkeeper moved to 12-0-1 on the season and has only allowed four goals all year. She sits in first place in the conference in goals against average (0.26) and save percentage (.907).
