Commodore Men Run at Crimson Classic

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Junior Jason Vincze was Vanderbilt’s top runner on Friday the 13th clocking a time of 26:13.1 over the 8,0000-meter course at the Crimson Classic to lead the Commodores to a 22nd-place finish.

Vincze took 90th place and was joined in the top 100 by teammate Evan Suzman, who placed 96th with a time of 26:16.2, which is his fastest 8K time this season.

Sophomore Harrison Thomas, clocked a time of 26:34.1, also a season-best. Aidan Livingston raced a personal-best 26.54.4. Andrew Irvine ran a 27.24.4, while Waqqas Fazili ran a 27.36.0, which is his best time of the season, finishing just ahead of fellow junior Caleb Casolaro who crossed the finish line with a time of 27:39.3.

Senior Sam DeFabrizo posted a 28:41.0 while freshman Edward Harpstead ran a 28:48.2 to round of the Vanderbilt contingent.

The Commodores are back in action on Oct. 27 when they head to Athens, Ga., for the SEC Championships.
